How lecturers treats final year students in Nigerian universities

in #nigeria6 years ago

Nigerian lecturers tends to enjoy making the concluding part of school year difficult for students most especially the final year students.

I want to start by stating the areas in which lecturers tends to stress their students.
Final year project
Normally during the first semester in the final year, students are expected to have been working on their projects, because of this lecturers tends to take advantage of this exercise they take advantage by either asking for money, or asking for some other things. And when the students fails to meet up with their requirements they tend to make life difficult for these poor students.

Secondly continuous assessment
In the case of continuous assessment lecturers makes life difficult for final year students the reasons behind this act i don't know, maybe they do these things to their students because they do not want them to finish well because i don't really understand why would you be plotting for the downfall of their students.

Finally is the exam grading, after putting all your possible best ensuring the exam becomes a success lecturers derives pleasure in giving students bad grades which if care is not taken the student might go astray.

So my point here is that lecturers should be very careful so that they don't affect the life's of their students negatively, always support your students Nigerian lecturers should work towards ensuring all students finish school with flying colours.
