Foreign Policy and Nigeria's Ideology
Foreign Policy, set of principles that guide the conduct of a nation’s external
relations. Foreign policy is therefore the general objectives that guide the activities and relationships of one
state in its interactions with other states (Encyclopedia Britannica, 2012). It is instructive to note
that the foreign policies of states are primarily determined by domestic considerations, including
strategic interests, economic and military potentials, quality of leadership and citizens, quality of
ideas in government, geographical vantages, among other factors.
Nigeria's intervention at Sao Tomé & Principé by diplomacy incomplete, sans a streamlined ideology of national interests.Such an analogous action. In 2016, when it led a peace enforcement in the Gambia, it hath no enforcement title; or if it hath, it was quite different form that of the former.
Unlike, the United States, from its Cold War 'Containment' to Reagan's 'Roll Back' to the War on Terror to Obama's Overseas Contingency Plan, Trump's 'Winning' in Afghanistan.
What's Nigeria's streamlined Foreign Policy?
