Discovering purpose
In a bid to discover purpose, it is important to consider the following steps and give them a practical view.
- Write down at least three skills that can
improve your earning potential. - In your everyday job (even if you hate
your job) what particular tasks do you
do well? For example, you are an
analyst; do you hate research but you
like building business models? - What problems do your friends call you
to solve? - What are ten things can you do every
day to improve your mastery in these
skills? For example, research courses,
find a mentor, understudy someone who
does what you want to do, taking out two
hours a day to perfect or practice. - Write down ten things you complain
about every day. - Break the problems down into smaller
tasks. - What skills do you have that can solve a
specific aspect of the problem? - How can you package your skill set to
create value that people will pay you for? - What five things are you uniquely placed
to do?
