STAY ON YOUR LANE
Good day to this great community and all her inhabitants. One might wonder why I always refer to this platform as a great community; that is because I have met some of the greatest minds so far in my journey through life here on STEEMIT.
In an article I wrote yesterday about FEAR, https://steemit.com/nigeria/@kingchuks/the-brighter-side-of-fear-20171016t161724977z, I mentioned the fact that the inspiration came from an article written by @bearone and resteemed by @surpassinggoogle, these are two great minds I wouldn't have met if not for steemit.
Last night I had a sleep drought, all efforts to sleep proved abortive and so I decided to do some STEEMIT surfing, and it was while wandering the streets of STEEMIT that I came upon a rare artifact in the form of a post by @gbenga another great mind that I'm glad to have met in this community.
After reading that post, I hit a jackpot of inspiration, I had to take a retrospect of my journey on the highway of success so far and that has given birth to this article.
As we journey through life, every one is on a race, we all are heading towards seemingly various destinations, but in the end we are all in pursuit of one singular thing and that is SUCCESS.
Most of us have our road maps, well defined, well drawn and spelt out. Along the line, as we are on this race we see some who seem to be doing better than us, and we are tempted to leave our defined path/lane and join them on their own lane.
What we fail to see is the fact that every lane in this highway to success have speed bumps called challenges and that before that person started flourishing, he or she must have mastered the landscape of that particular lane, memorized the landmarks and the locations of the speed bumps. The process of memorizing the land marks and position of the speed bumps is called gathering of experience.
The level of our success on a particular lane/field in life is directly proportional to the challenges we've faced on that lane, and the experiences amassed from the journey so far.
ULUOCHA KINGDOM
Wow did I just give my own quote, guess steemit is turning me to a philosopher. (lols)
In this race and struggle, when we are tempted to jump lanes half way, let's remember that we do not know where the road bumps are and the landmarks hence we could crash easily.
This doesn't mean that you can't try new things, but stay focused in your own field, and when you want to try something new start small and test the waters first. Do not because you see "Mr. A" doing well you decide to throw away all your hard work that you've put into your pursuit to switch to "Mr. A's" lane you don't know how much “A“ has sacrificed to be where he is.
Some of us switch lanes for the wrong reason, and it is very unhealthy, if you must switch lanes let it be for the right reasons. If not stick to your lane and be passionate about your pursuit, you will definitely achieve success.
Once again thanks to all the great minds on steemit for their immense contributions and inspirations. @gbenga, @surpassinggoogle, @bearone, pardon me but it's in my nature to celebrate greatness whenever I see it.
This life is a race sport but people fail to understand that unlike the normal relay race, everyones track is very different
The only way we can make it till the end is by sticking to our track
Nice one

One factor Nigerians fail to understand
Be unique in your own way, copying or diverging simply takes you to square one.

Nice post @ kingchuks, ur post always motivate me and I have this to say Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something, and that this thing, at whatever cost, must be attained.
