Why Are You Still Active On Steemit

Hello Nigeria!

It's been ages! A lot of things have happened over the months and even though they haven't been as exciting as we would have loved, there have been loads of lessons to take away from the events. We never stop learning and that is why we are here to try to see what we can learn again, but with your help this time!

So we would have asked if you're still on Steemit but err... the mere fact that you're seeing this post means you're still on Steemit and it will be almost stupid to expect anyone to answer in the negative. Instead, we felt the better question will be something in the form of what we have eventually come up with.

If we are going to be truthful, Steemit hasn't been as rosy as you had imagined when you were crafting your #introduceyourself post, yeah? Don't be shy! We have all been down that road and it can be very discouraging but you're reading this, which means you're still hanging on!

The question now is "Why?"!

Why are you still hanging on?
Why are you still around?
What is it about Steemit that is keeping you here?

To make this better, why not resteem as soon as you've dropped your comment. Let's get this post in front of as many people as we can.
Sort:

Where else would I be? This remains the best project in crypto, by a longshot. The long development timeline and low crypto prices have turned off a lot of people, but Steem has a ton more potential in the near term than any of the newer projects that distract people. Those who have stuck around will not regret it.

Hmm, you just nailed it.

“Where else would I be?”

It is obvious. No where, except steem blockchain. Thank you for the encouragement.

The long development timeline and low crypto prices have turned off a lot of people.

the current "culture" trumps both. even if the timeline is slow and prices, low, once the time spent on here does not worth it, peeps leave. culture, a sense of fairness. at least to an extent. that's pretty much it.

What a pleasant surprise. It can be difficult for people to weather the storm especially one they weren't adequately prepared for. Like you said, those who stick around will not regret it.

I am still herr because i enjoy the learning curve. Life is not all bed of roses and this is why i always ask people "What motivates you?" A lot of problems would be sorted out when we know what motivates us. For me, getting my message out there, having someone feel better with my words motivates me and this is why i haven't given up on Steemit. Yes, it is rough for now, and even if it goes deeper, so much that we discovered oil, i will still be here. I just enjoy putting my thoughts into words and having people blessed by it and this is why i make as many posts in a day and never tired...for 8 months!.

What a timely post @onequality. I feel more motivated even.

Thanks for this awesome reply. We loved it so much that it has earned you a dollar!

Stay motivated and keep sharing your thoughts with the world.

Yaaaaay!. This delights me a whole lot. Thanks for this. Duly and much appreciated.

Am still here because I have bunch reasons to be here. Apart from learning every day, I have the opportunity to meet different people from around the world.
Whenever I want to get discouraged about the earnings, I will just look back on those social media like Facebook that I spent most time checking in without getting anything. Steemit is the best place to be and is having fun here

That's true! No matter how difficult and discouraging it might be, Steemit still is an upgrade on centralized social media. Thanks for sharing.

This question is the twin question we discussed on my show yesterday. - “What are the benefits of blockchain technology to humanity?”

Without digressing, I am still here because I have started manifesting my passion on the steem blockchain using steemit as a platform. What else is more productive than one whose career is established on the chain.
Although, the starting point seems tough, but there is hope on steem blockchain if you can ignite and envisioned it. Where your heart is, is where your treasure will be. My heart is on the steem blockchain.

Yeah, i learnt a few things from the show, i felt bad that network was doing me anyhow.
I am glad that the blockchain is a good platform for you to manifest your passions.

Consistency is the key! Keep at it and it'll be fine in the end. Well done.

The master key not just ordinary key. Thank you for your words. All is well...

Steemit brought out alot of things in me so im gonna stick through thick and thin with it.

Amazing! This is a good read today.
First, its because of the family i have come to have here, they're so important to such that it can't just be stripped off so easily, so even if I'm not making a post, I'm reading many posts and interacting on many levels.

  1. I have an obligation to pass what i have to offer consistently. This is my platform and i also have a good channel to the world.

  2. Finally, because i know steemit is a mine of opportunities, so even though I'm not a whale, i am around amazing people and amazing opportunities.

Great one @onequality

We @theartisangroup appreciate your question, thus, resteemed for more opinions and contribution. @onequality👍

Thank you! We love you!

Hmmmm... Am still here on steemit because I am already used to steemit and it feels part of me now. I think if the price of steem goes really flat, I will still be, but I hope not. 😎

I'm still here because of the people I've met. I don't log on to "Steemit", I log on to catch up with old friends and say hi to new ones.

I have stayed on steemit for a lot of reasons, one i have made a lot of fantastic friends here, secondly, i have learnt a whole lot of things and i am still learning. Although the going has been rough and since we have agreed to be positive, i am using this opportunity to build my SP.

We keep steeming!!!
