SPIRITUAL STRATEGIES FOR REBUILDING A COLLAPSING NATION

It is no gainsaying that Nigeria is a collapsing nation that urgently needs creative rescue.

Thank God for spiritual leaders with foresight and conscience. These men have initiated prayers for the nation.

The truth is that certain agents from various covens would at that point mock these prayer initiatives. They clamor for more practical steps to be taken by the spiritual leaders.

But in my meditation, as we observe the fasting and praying for the nation, the Holy Spirit inspired me with this truth.

He said to me, "If God would intervene in any human activity on the earth, it would be in response to prayers. The only solution to the humanitarian crisis is wisdom. And the only approved access to wisdom is prayers. When men are humble enough to prayer, God is more than willing to inject light and resources that would enable man give form to the nation that is collapsing."

In the beginning, God created heaven and earth, but the earth was without form, void and darkness were upon the face of the waters.

Via the breath of his nostrils, He terminated darkness and via the blast of his word, he took care of the emptiness.

When it was time to deal with the chaos, God created Man.

The chaos experienced on earth has its solution in spirit controlled men - living Souls - men and women wired by the Spirit of God to make a difference by adding value to the earth.

God's response to our fasting and prayers shall be seen in the following ways:

Jeremiah 1:10

See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to:

1. Uproot
2. Tear down
3. Destroy
4. Overthrow
5. Build
6. Plant

There shall be the uprooting of deep roots. Deep roots like corruption, nepotism, ethnic and religious violence.

There shall be the tearing down of the walls that keep us separated from one another. The walls that make unity impossible in our lands. The walls that make us see ourselves as Yoruba's, Hausa, Igbo, Fulani etc rather than Nigerians.

There shall be the destruction of vain political structures, ideologies, party affiliations, ancient ideas that refuse to let go of Nigeria's political space and all other forces that have made a home on the corridors of power.

There shall be the overthrowing of tired minds littering Nigeria's political and economic landscapes.

Nonfunctional political parties and elements looting our nations treasuries and mercilessly killing innocent people to satisfy their greed and lust for power and fame shall all become a thing of the past.

All these are possible by the power of God through prayers and pasting coupled with our concerted efforts at doing what is right for our nation.

But everything does not end with prayers and fasting. This is because there is a need to give form to the nation after all the injection of light and resources through prayers.

This can only be done with the rise of spirit controlled nation builders and planters.

After the spiritual cleansing, there is a need for political sensitization and awareness of all citizens.

There is a need for new political structures with new ideologies.

New breed politicians need to be given the chance to give a new narrative to Nigeria's political landscape.
