2019 Nissan Frontier Desert Runner midsize pickup truck 4.0 engine

The 2019 Nissan Frontier is a mid-size pickup truck that seats up to five people. It comes standard with a 152-horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine; a 261-hp, 4.0-liter V-6 is available. Both engines can work with a manual or automatic transmission, and rear- and four-wheel-drive versions are offered.

Competitors include the Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Colorado and Honda Ridgeline. A 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system is now standard.

The 2019 Nissan Frontier has decent engine power and a responsive optional automatic transmission. Fuel economy is midrange for the class, and the ride quality is composed. Handling is a little dull, but the truck has good maneuverability.
