RE: 💩 Your UPVOTE Ain't Worth SHIT 💩
I knew that anything over 7 days is a wasted vote. I thought it was always like that. But a minimum on posts & comments seems unnecessarily draconian to the small fries of steemit.
What is the point? The only reason I can see to implement such a policy is to put a "tax" on those who can't regularly draw 2 cent votes. Which, as you pointed out is pretty uncommon. Thus this is just a means of preventing the spread of steem to minnows.
A visual analogue of what we would expect to be the reward stream to be is a flow of sand piling on a table spreading out to the community. The outer 25% being curative rewards. These guys are placing a ring around the flow so the reward pool cannot spread out as far.
The min payment should be removed or dropped to 1 cent. It's hard enough for any new members to succeed on this platform.
Our wallets goto the 0.001 ... so I feel they should round to 0.001 and distribute payouts rounded to the nearest 0.001 instead of 0.01.
I think part of the reason that they round to the nearest 0.01 is to lessen the dust transactions which could be argued to bloat the block-chain.
The rounding is to the nearest 0.02.
I agree with you about no minimum but I think allot more will be ok with a 0.01 min then a 0.02. As 0.01 represents a full cent and the smallest fiat dollar value which everyone is accustomed to.
