Do Nootropics really work?

in #nootropics8 years ago

I started to use nootropics honestly around the same time I discover bitcoin in 2013. It was just one of those nights where I was browsing through the web clicking links that led me to random sites. I stumble upon a nootropic site, forgot the name though and I just remember reading about stuff like Piracetam, alpha GPC, and Pramiracetam. These were the most common names before all these crazy ones that they have out nowadays.

I remember just reading and reading for hours about this stuff and how it could help with attention, focus, and memory since I thought I had issues in those departments. Regretfully though with this new knowledge of nootropics, I totally forgot about bitcoin. I gave all my attention to this new product. As far as I can remember nootropics weren't really that big until onnit labs became very successful and more recognized through Joe Rogan.

I finally brought myself to order and try this bitter white powder substance and no not cocaine, even though I had feeling it could be shit hoax. I mainly gave it a shot because I was in college and I couldn't get my hands on Adderall. The package that I order was Piracetam and alpha GPC, it came in white clear plastic bag and no measuring spoon or nothing. I was thinking to myself how the hell do I take this? By the way this was before I knew some nootropics were fat soluble and water soluble, anyways so I just mixed the nootropics with some water and consumed this horrible supplement.

To make a long story short, fast forward over the years I experimented with all kinds of nootropics. Did any of them work? The answer is not a black and white. All I can say is I don't invest that much money into them like I use too. I might buy new nootropics to see if they are any different, nothing more. Trust me I have tried them all! Different names, brands, companies, you name it. Oh yea even bullet proof coffee haha.

If you guys have experience with nootropics and you have suggestions on what really works, I would love to hear them.

Thanks,
summa.
