Media Says North Korea's Nukes are Offensive. US Intel Says They're Not

The good ol' mainstream media has been throwing scorn on #Trump's decision to pursue negotiations with #NorthKorea. This kind of response--one which favors aggression & war over diplomacy & compromise--is only enabled by the media coverage that has preceded it.

Indeed, the press has consistently portrayed North Korea & its nuclear program as an offensive threat -- one that even threatens the US mainland.

There is only one problem: the threat is not real; North Korea's nukes--according to US intelligence--are defensive. By omitting this crucial context, the media have justified Trump's belligerence, & enabled pundits to uncritically advocate an aggression that could lead to possible nuclear war.
