"Prague" (Detail)

Whenever I get a chance to travel, I tend to take a lot of pictures which then can become paintings when I get back to Firenze. This is one of them, taken on a weekend trip to Prague, an enchanting Gothic and Romantic city.

The statue is on an island in the river, I took a very shot that was very zoomed in so the background is actually very far away from the statue. Here is the entire painting:

Thanks!!!!! :)

Fantastic! the statue looks very romantic, it seems to dance with the sound of love. The way his paintings come to the world is great. Your inspiration for drawing comes from what you have by your side. to be able to travel and know places and see so many beautiful things, they are great to create your art.

I like how you made the leaves of the trees and the statue so real, the lights and shadows very good.

Wow!! Thanks for your kind words!!!

You are welcome! It is a pleasure!

I like old cities of Europe, in many of them so much historical heritage, the beauty of old houses with decorative window frames, that all you captured well in the background of the painting. The statue is definitely main character and I like that blue-green colors :)

Thanks Stef!! Prague is such a beautiful city, I am sure that if I ever return I will certainly be inspired to paint again!

Very lovely, Matteo ! I like how you captured the diffused day lighting on the statue and on the green foliage :) Also that play of shadow that cast itself in a line down her chest is done so wonderfully <3 Love the close up and love the entire painting also :D !
