Such a beautiful story <3 I am glad that you have brought them some happiness, specially in trying times! The painting looks magnificent as their home's centerpiece (yes, home!)
Seahorses and mermaids do give anyone a happy and magical feeling when you think about them :) And your painting is definitely wonderful !
There's a continuation of this story - that has another painting that goes with it.... It's not a happy story, but I added a tiny bit of happiness to it. When they moved to the house that's mentioned above, their dog disappeared.... He's a little dog. When I delivered this painting (mermaid & seahorse) I saw a pic of Sherlock (the dog) on the fridge... so I took a photo of it on my cell phone, made a painting of him, and mailed it to them. Later, they found out heir dog had gotten eaten by coyotes.... So, they really appreciated the painting- they cried... and they then sent me a video of their kid crying when he saw the painting.
