RE: Top-ten reasons to go plant-based/vegan that actually aren't.

Methane, that is one of the most controversial subjects when it comes to Veggie or not-veggie diet. There are lakes in Africa, that turns over on a fairly regular basis, and releases a lot of gasses that kill. Some CO2 releases, some Methane releases, lake Nyos, (co2), Lake Kivi, and a few others. methane is released from the bottom of the ocean on a fairly regular basis, and many believe that it is methane releases that have caused a lot of the Bermuda Triangle events. Frozen Tundra when it is thawed releases methane, Pingo Lakes like the lakes in Africa, often turn over releasing Methane and CO2. For those that think that cows releasing methane are a problem and have a hard time understanding the cycle effect, cows eat convert grass to methane formed from the conversion of carbohydrates, people eat convert carbohydrates to gases and fart just like cows do. The above mentioned Methane releases are methane that has been locked out of the cycle for long long long long times.

Plant based methane is not a long locked release, it is a short cycle, I get that, I think a lot of people have a hard time understanding that.

For people to try and place the cause of global warming on the backs of cows and those that eat meat is pretty slim idea. How many tractors does it take to plant, fertilize, harvest, and send a plant based product to market, verse how many tractors and gallons of petrol chemicals to raise and watch over a herd of cows?

I have no issue if some one wants to be a vegan, vegetarian, carnivore, or any other diet life style, My issue is when they want to place all the woes and troubles of the world at the mouths of those that do not believe in the same diet as them.

I thought it was a very good read and a nice get the brain running in the morning for me.
