Please vote

We are running another poll for Obbies to vote on who the next order provider (witness) will be. The two candidates are Raivo Malter and Bind Creative. Once you have reviewed each one, help the project decentralize faster by using your Obyte wallet to vote. Its extremely quick to vote, it literally takes about one minute, and there is only one simple question:

Who do you approve of becoming the 5th independent Order Provider (also known as Witness) on the Obyte network?

  • Bind Creative
  • Raivo Malter
  • neither of them

The poll will end 11:59 AM CET April 2. See this 21 second video on how to vote if you need help.

Extension for Visual Studio Code

Visual Studio Code is a source-code editor developed by Microsoft for Windows, Linux and macOS. An Oscript extension has been released so that developers can now more easily write and validate Autonomous Agents using VS Code. You can also find it in the VS Code software extension tab, just search for Oscript or Obyte.

See the AA section of the developer website for more info on how to build products using AA’s.

PolloPollo regulatory thumbs up

It's not official, but the Financial Services Authority in Denmark appears to have concluded that PolloPollo is compliant with existing regulations for financial activities. The Danish FSA has their own set of rules, but as it operates under the EU's regulation of financial services it means it is unlikely PolloPollo is in breach of any other EU country's regulatory frameworks.

As mentioned recently, PolloPollo was nominated in the CityAM awards for Social Impact and Sustainability. The award was given to another project, a project which coincidentally sponsored the prizes for the category in which it was nominated.

Automated token exchange name?

Developer Fabien from the community is currently working on an automated token exchange for Obyte. The original plan was to call it Oswap, but that name has since been taken by another project. If you have any name suggestions please share them. AutOswap and SwapOmatic are two contenders.

Wallet bug

A wallet bug is affecting some smart contracts, for example Blackbyte trading. The next wallet release will have the fix for it, but for now you cannot trade Blackbytes using blackbytes.io.

Developer?

The Obyte platform (written in familiar Node.js) is easy to develop for using simple yet powerful Lego-like building blocks of code. Learn more on the developer website or take the interactive developer quiz.
