Animals that soon may be extinct: Tim Flach and his book 'Endangered'

in #ocd-resteem7 years ago

Sometime ago I watched a documentary about three different types of animals: first, I saw a Giant panda and her baby panda; later on I saw a snow leopard with her 2 babies; and, last but not least, I saw a troop of Golden Snub-Nosed Monkeys. Little did I know that the status of every single one of these animals was the following: endangered.

You might be wondering how on Earth I know now. Well, the other day I came across an article in Buzzfeed that talked about a famous photographer that at some point in his career decided not only to capture animals, but also decided that the animals we would photograph had to be endangered animals. He even has a book called endangered with all the photographs in order to raise awareness.

So that is why I know. I thought I had to share this. I feel like it's my responsibility because I feel for these creatures that might be extinct in the near future. I think it's unfair that we can live like this end completely forget about all the living creatures. it feels like day by day we can less and less about planet, about all living things... I feel like people are self-serving, like we've forgotten about anything that is not directly related to our existence. Well, fortunately Tim Flach and his body of work is here to help us see how directly the lives of these animals are linked to our lives. I’m going to share some pictures he took, the name of the animal and their status. If you are anything like me, I bet you won't be able to forget these raw beautiful faces.
