The Eagle has landed - My Proof of Brain by @c0ff33a ☕️

Just in case you missed the past posts, my new 30kg batch coffee roaster arrived from Turkey right in the middle of the UK Coronavirus lockdown. It's a big piece of equipment and all the bit's of it really need a Fork Lift truck to move and assemble them. I was planning on renting our next door neighbours Fork Lift and driver for a few hours to offload it and assemble the parts - but as they are an electrical wholesaler they shut down when the UK went into lockdown on March 23rd. So the roaster had to be delivered to our local Pallet Shipping company who unloaded it for us - but then could not deliver it because the roaster body is heavier then their tail lift capacity. But instead they found a local shipping company with a Moffet trailer - that is a lorry with it's own Fork Lift hanging off the back - that detaches to load goods at the delivery point. That got the roaster and it's parts inside my warehouse - but the heavy parts still needed unpacking and assembling.

So here is my proof of brain in action, this drum weighs well over 45kg and needs to sit on the top of the roaster. Ideally a fork lift would lift it up, but lacking that I made custom use of the hoist winch that normally lifts a platform from the cage on the right to the upper floor. but the winch runs along a steel beam - so when you get the platform at the upper floor you can pull it onto the floor above to unload. Giving my brain cell a good work out, I realised that if I cut a hole in the floor I could get the Winch to drop down exactly where I needed that drum on the roaster!

Look at the genius at work, absolutely perfectly positioning. Where there is a will there is a way, that drum that sits on top has to hold 30kg of green coffee beans, blown into it from the Loader I still need to connect up. So it can not be light weight.

And here you go, with my shaky ropes removed and the protective wrapping Toper in Turkey put around the drum removed it now looks more like a machine for roasting coffee.

But this is not the end for the winch, the cooling tray needs to be removed from it's iron pallet - only a little lift to remove the pallet from below it.

And the assembly so far, Chaff collector connected to the body, green coffee hopper on top and the cooling tray positioned in front. `next the pipe needs connection from the hopper on top to the loader, and all the motors need wiring into the main machine fuse box. I'm getting there, very slowly.
