OCD Daily: Issue #165
OCD DAILY - Issue #165
Welcome to the 165th issue of @OCD Daily!
Issue #165 highlights content from ten (10) Steemit Content Creators! The OCD team continues its search throughout Steemit to find you the undervalued gems, as provided by relatively new users.
Today our curators found you ten (10) incredible pieces of original content! We strive to find works that are provided by newer Steemit users, that may not have the audience which their quality content deserves. @OCD strives to help provide that audience, and intends to showcase Steemit users who put in the extra effort to create creative, original content.
A curator will FIND a piece of work (typically from newer users), within 24 hours that piece has been submitted from the curator to the @ocd team, votes tallied and the pieces with the most votes are placed into the compilation.
We encourage you to visit these blogs and to show these great Steemians your support and encouragement.
All of the content as chosen by our curators is undervalued, but there is always one piece that rises to the top. That piece is seen as universally appreciated and valued making it OCD’s Top Nomination of the Day.
Starting with our top choice of the daily issue is an article about Freedom by @minismallholding. You often hear from prisoners that we don't know what freedom is until it gets taken away from us. In response to a post on steemit where the question "What does freedom mean to you" was asked, @minismallholding decided to give his interesting view about freedom. For the people who want to have food for thought this article is definitely worth checking out! This gem of a post was discovered by @guyfawkes4-20.
It is never to late to pursue a dream and @eyedreemit is the best example. When you are curious about daily experiences and how they work but mostly enjoy to entertain new ideas and become passionate about new subject, you find yourself in a new path such as the one pursued on this post found by @geke, with a 12 step path achieved in a yeay, this story of success will inspire you do achieve more.
The following article about a space game called EVE online was found by @jeanpi1908. Have you ever heard of a spaceships that costs 400.000 US Dollars to build in a virtual game? Well apparently this is real and it is all in EVE online. The author @stormriderstudio shows us how he build a ship in this game. For all gamers out there it is a must to check out this amazing article!
@gotmeens will give you a skateboard, and some elephants to go with it, just like @cabelindsay, I´ll ask you to not mention it. Art comes in every shape and form and it is an artist duty to keep evolving and creating, this post for sure is the best example of it. Prepare to be amazed by the creativity behind it.
Next on the list is @captenredbeard who is documenting his journey to become financially independent. Escaping the 9 to 5 work days is his dream. To accomplish this he thinking of a side hustle which is setting up an Amazon FBA. In his post he describes the problems he encountered such as how to get the products from a supplier. This post was discovered by @gniksivart.
The Bechdel test is a set of criteria that a movie must meet in order to be approved... @artmindvoice made a thorough investigation about this subject and explains the pros of making a movie that fills the characteristics and the benefits it will provide for today´s society. This post was curated by @mk40.
Africa is one of the continets having the most explosive boom in users in the past month, mainly from Steemians joining from Nigeria, but Ghana wants to say hello by the hand of @sircharles and this beautiful post about the social service and community activities it promotes towards the developing of the people and their society. No doubt @futurethinker is as amazed as I am with the reach one person with great ideas can achieve, and how Steemit can influence a wind of change for this African nation.
A bit of antropology, some sociology and the ideas of a photographer can creat one of the best projects I´ve seen on this platform. With a two year preparation and some studies about society, social media and the power of change, @ruberncress show us how word of mouth can literally change how we perceive our reality. I bet @saywha was intrigued, and not just because the experiment includes asian food for the atendees, but because this experiment is probably the first of its kind documented on the blockchain.
Thailand is one of the hot spots for asian tourism right now, so how dangerous can it be? Well, perhaps not all Thailand is dangerous... of course it isn´t! But as every country, it has some risky spots and @lalilands is here to take us on a tour around one market that will surely convince you this beautiful asian nation can get you at least a bit scared. You can thank @martibis for finding this post, it might surprise you, because it is not dangerous because of the reasons you are thinking.
It is never to late to change, or to make a post about it! It is already late January but the new me posts are never outdated and @l5taylor will tell you why. With a small introduction to how last year was for him, @ma1neevent´s curated post will have you thinking about how a set of events, no matter how negative they might seem at the moment, they could be the best foundation for the new you that starts this 2018.
We hope you were able to take away something different, fresh, and new from these content posts, as provided by the @ocd curators.
