OCD DAILY - Issue #87

Welcome to the 87th issue of @OCD Daily!

Issue #87 highlights content from ten (10) fantastic Steemit Content Creators! The OCD team on its journey continues to search tirelessly throughout Steemit for undervalued gems as provided by relatively new users.

Today our curators, under our steadfast leader, @acidyo, have delivered ten incredible pieces of original content to share with you! These works as provided by newer Steemit users don’t have the audience which their quality content deserves. @OCD strives to provide that audience and intends to showcase Steemit users who put in tremendous effort to create flourishing content.

The nomination process

A curator will FIND a piece of work (typically from newer users), within 24 hours that piece has been submitted from the curator to the @ocd team, votes tallied and the pieces with the most votes are placed into the compilation.

We encourage you to visit these blogs and to show these great Steemians your support and encouragement.

If you enjoyed their work give them a Follow or maybe even say Hello!

All of the content as chosen by our curators is undervalued, but there is always one piece that rises to the top. That piece is seen as universally appreciated and valued making it OCD’s Top Nomination of the Day.

Today’s top nomination as curated by @saywha: @jamesnatergets some live action, FPV drone footage onto Steemit and it's pretty badass. Flying around the neigbourhood all retro-like, to the tune of vapourwave music, it's the kinda thing you initially sit down to chill with in the background and end up hyped and reminiscent about playing footy in the field out back! To watch this skillful drone experience, check it out below!

Our second piece, discovered by our science curator @thethirdeye, is a post by @drawingpencil puts Steemit mastermind @ned onto paper with a practically photorealistic sketch. As one of drawingpencil's first ever posts, this is a great way to start off and shows a lot of promise for her future career here. Give her some support by checking out the finished product below. I won't spoil it here but even the partial image below has intensity in his eyes, phew!

The founder of Steemit

Our third piece as curated by @suesa: @raviyandabrings goes deep into an engineering problem architecture; earthquakes. How tall buildings could withstand earthquakes is something I have always been curious about, but this post makes it seem quite straight forward: Shear walls. The taller the building, the harder it falls, and so this engineering technology is vital in a day and age where natural disasters seem to be running rampant. Read more about it below!

System of Shear Wall Structures in Tall Buildings

Our Fourth Piece as curated by @anomadsoul: @cizzo writes a crazy short story about a girl and her dog, snuggling up to watch a horror movie. But the horror isn't in the movie at all, and well, you know, Halloween is round the corner and without spoiling it, this is a great read to get into the mood. Let's just say... some people really love their dogs. Check it out!

One day all dogs realize that humans have bones under their skin. [Short Story]

Our fifth piece, curated by @jeanpi1908 is a thought provoking essay by @tochi and on the history and complicated perception of morality. It seems intuitive that morality is just kind of there, innate within us, but the more you read tochi's post, the more you realise morality largely served as a class tool, favouring the rich and condemning the poor. What a surprise! Discover the truth below.

The breach of moral norms in our today's society.

Our sixth piece, curated by @gmuxx is an amazing ink drawing by @gric. Starting off with a provocative quote to get you in the mood, you scroll down and see a profoundly fantastical image of an android with all its inner mind on display, seemingly roaming the earth free. gric treats us to some macro shots to truly appreciate the insane amount of detail that went into this work so I suggest you go squint at it right now!

"Android-Mind" - original ink drawing

Our seventh piece as curated by @mobbs: @soul.searching is an international model and avid dog lover. You can really tell she's passionate about both of these in her steemit posts but this post convinced me that there are people who do more for their best friends than even myself! soul.searching gives an informative essay on raw dog food diets, but delves into the science and the health as well as some gorgeous personal photography of her adorable puppies! You probably don't adore dogs enough yet so read the information below to truly show your love!

Did YOU know?! Raw Dog Food Information Revealed!

Our eighth piece as curated by @elteamgordo: @flyingsolo is, well, flying solo! A whole range of countries from all over the world are discovered on this blog, but today we are looking at Amsterdam with some very find photography. flyingsolo recommends 3 days here, though I once spent 9 hours there and I feel like it could be my new forever home. Check the photos below before getting a Netherlandean mortgage!

Amsterdam

Our ninth piece as curated by @howtostartablog: @johnnyray, a self-proclaimed 'laid back beach guy' decides to go out of his comfort zone and go cruising in the icy world of Alaska. Now, I've never been on a cruise ship, and I just kind of assumed the ones you see on TV are exaggerations a la Titanic, but it appears jonnyray found himself a veritable dreamboat, with towel art and all! There is so much to share in this post so don't let it go to waste and check it out below!

Discovering Alaska with Novelist Johnny Ray. For many, cruising is all about the ship you select, and for me the Holland America is the best shipping company with the MS Amsterdam it's best ship.

Our tenth and final piece as curated by @ma1neevent: After a somewhat unsuccessful harvest of onions and cabbage, @rakkasan84 gets the machinery out to get the crops in the soil before the rain comes. This post sees rakkasan84 going with cover crops such as peas and oats to keep the soil fertile, and it's really informative for those into the homesteading lifestyle. Be healthy, read the post below!

Getting Some Fall Peas and Oats Planted Before The Rain

Thanks for stopping by as this concludes today’s OCD Daily. We would like to congratulate the authors nominated as well as those featured.

Hopefully, you were able to take away something different, fresh, and new from the pieces as provided by the @ocd curators.

The OCD team would also like to thank those that strive to make a difference. As anyone can create a posting but only some can create/build value.

Be sure to check for tomorrow’s edition of OCD Daily!

Thank you for the research, time and dedication to our platform. Time to go read the results of it all now! ;)

Namaste :)

Nice suggestions as always. @gric is an awesome artist, you have to check out his whole blog -- it is full with unique paintings and detail shots.

Thank you @nyarlathotep!
Also many thans to @gmuxx and the @ocd team for your support!

Your submission of content gets a lot of people's praise

@mobbs did not add my post on the list after nominating it. Or may be he didn't see my reply on my blog

I had yet put yours up for nomination - there is a queue since we can only nominate one per day. That being said, your post has been hit by both blocktrades AND curie for well over $100 and so it's no longer eligible - and you hardly need it!

Ooooh ok thanks @mobbs for checking by. Great work here. I dab for una.

Love that you all spend the time to put this out daily! Keep the curation coming! Good content needs to rise to the top!

Thanks for nominating us and for featuring us in your daily issue! :D

@ocd appreciate your services, are they recommended by someone or your own random search?

All posts are found by the curators searching through steemit tags every day. Hope that helps.

JOHNNY RAY IN THE HOUSE! Congrats man

Great authors and posts you have there... You're all doing great! Congratulations. God Bless!
