#09 Goa Trip : Old Goa Church, "Basilica of Bom Jesus"
Hi, all my Dear Steemians!!
This was our second day visit to Old Goa Church, Goa, India. It's around 10 km est to the state capital Panji. I have read in history during my school time that the Vasco da Gama, was a Portuguese explorer and the first European to reach India by sea. So that it's been said that Portuguese trades from here to all over the India in ancient time and therefore this place was capital city for them while 16th century.
As I have searched and information collected by local people there said that It is dedicated to spread the devotion of the Sacred Heart, Dor Mhoineachi Rotti which was shifted to the Basilica of Bom Jesus in 1964. After that the Name Old Goa given by some scholars and I really don't know their names.
My experience to visit this place is awesome because usually I went to many of the Church in my local city, but this was much larger and huge architect and designed. The wonderful #Art Gallery# for that I could not took the pictures because it was prohibited there. But those old drawing pictures and monuments are just print in my eyes now. I have shared many pictures from inside and outside pasted here those you can see me along with my friends. I'm very happy that i got the opportunity to visit such a pleasing place and wonderful architect.
I want you all to find the opportunity to see this place once in your lifespan.
Again I'm expecting all to upvote, comment, reply & resteem my posts if you really like it.
Thank you!!
