Titled on it’s side, the bag comes alive as I slide the shoulder straps out from the top zipper. These are well-padded with mesh ventilation underneath to breath better. In backpack mode, I found the @victorinox 2 way carry very comfortable, worn all-day with light and heavy loads. Straps can be adjusted on the fly for tight or loose fit and the metal attachments hook solidly for a robust backpack experience. I usually prefer this mode during heavy loads as it distributes weight nicely and doesn’t ache my shoulders.
When I need to pick it up, either during a commute or working from a workspace, the top luggage handle is useful. It’s reinforced with leather trims and looks tremendously durable. Plus, the handle is super comfortable in the hands which is what you want for a convertible bag that aims to be a briefcase, backpack and messenger all-in-one. .
