This study revealed that children spend more time on Youtube and especially show high interest in PewDiePie bloggers.

"Our statistics show the interest of children and teenagers throughout the world today," said Web Content Analysis Expert at Kaspersky Lab, Anna Larkina, in a written statement received in Jakarta on Monday.

This report shows anonymous names that do not reveal names, about websites visited using Windows and Mac PCs, and search activities on Windows PCs, Mac, Android and iOS devices from June to mid-August 2018.

Statistics are taken from the flagship Kaspersky Lab product that has active features from the Parental Control module and Kaspersky Safe Kids, an independent service that is installed for children's online protection.

Children are more likely to watch video content and listen to music, rather than spending time on social media during their holidays.

They also like to spend time watching a number of TV series on Netflix, while smaller children choose Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and Disney channels and SpongeBob SquarePants cartoons.

For the music category, many children use streaming services like Spotify, Soundcloud, and iTunes to listen to songs, with rap being the most popular genre.

XXXTentacion Rapper, known for shooting incidents last summer, resulted in increased search for information about his death.

When the case stands out, children listen to songs from XXXTentacion more than other artists.

Children also visit more often, including the BBC, CNN, and BuzzFeed. They also spend time following the latest developments and scores from the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

In addition, online games are also increasingly popular with Fortnite, the most sought after PUBG as the most popular online game.

In addition to music and online games, children also show interest in clothing and trends in mobile devices.

For online store references, children prefer to visit Ebay, Amazon, Aliexpress, ASOS and H & M. The most popular brands are Nike, Adidas, Supreme, Gucci, and Vans.

Of all available mobile devices, children show the greatest interest in the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy.

It should be noted that besides games and music videos, children also often search for websites that contain adult content.

However, if their parents block the site (for example with Kaspersky Lab products), then the children's efforts to visit these sites are unsuccessful.

Concerns about online privacy are also seen among children during the holidays, they actively search online on the DuckDuckgo search engine, and look for explanations about VPN.

This event was the first time in Kaspersky Lab's record that showed an increasing interest in topics among children.

In Indonesia alone, statistical data shows that the content that children are looking for in the first rank is about software, audio and video in almost half the part.

Included in this category are music and video streaming services that are quite popular with children in Indonesia today.

In the next position are internet communication media such as social media, messenger, forums and chat rooms with a percentage of 33 percent.

Besides communicating using social networks, children also use instant messaging applications like WhatsApp.

While news media and computer games occupy the next position with smaller portions of 6 percent and 5 percent respectively.

"In our opinion, parents' knowledge of what children do online can really create better family relationships, also help encourage open dialogue and prevent more serious threats to children, such as sexting or bullying,"
