Steemit Open Mic Night Week 41: Sunset Didgeridoo MeditationsteemCreated with Sketch.

in #openmic7 years ago

Greetings!

I really love the open mic contest and I truly feel it is one of the best projects going on Steemit. I think that it has the potential to not only be a really fun and entertaining event for Steeminas but has the potential to attract A LOT of new users.

Music is very powerful, some say it is "the language of the soul" it is also the most successful entertainment of all time. The bigger and "cooler" our music scene gets the more people of all kinds will flock here. So I am promoting it and entering the contest on a weekly basis to help further the cause.

I hope you enjoy the powerful sounds of the Didgeridoo~*~

If you like my Steemit Cap you can find this one and a lot more of my hand painted, sustainably produced, epic Steemit fashion here.

Yeah brother! Such great energy! Really enjoyed your play with tempo and perfect rhythm which can be hard with circular breathing, and your toying with volume by leaning in and out. So many nice layers and delicate finish. Don't let camera pressure push you to talk right after though, you get us to a really high state!

Great that you are going to get this video to ears that haven't been around a didge and friends who haven't been in such a loud lush garden. You're much braver than I to be shirtless at mosquito hour! But I love singing and tuning in for sunset too, and it feels really good to catch a bit of your love for it and nature. Excited to see what goodness you fountain into this steem land. I'll be sharing different sound alchemy, yoga content, partner exercises, motivational articles and more. Hope we become friends. Bless!

Hey!
Great to meet you and thanks for the supportive comment!
Its great to see someone who is aware enough to pick up on the many subtitles of playing the did live without any effects, equipment or rehearsal. There are indeed many layers and all done with circular breath weaving it all together.
Sounds like from what you say you have a lot to offer and I hope to enjoy it as you present it.
Be in touch~

Another amazing episode. My best friend has tried to teach me the didgeridoo so many times... always amazed by the sound other people get out of there... mine sounds like one big fart. Works actually pretty well with the sounds of the cicadas. At some point one is even doing a small solo. Just love it! Thanks for this peaceful and joyful moment ;)

Hey!
So grateful to share the power of the Didgeridoo.
It is true that when one does not know how to play it sounds like all sorts of farts. hahahaha
I love playing with the cicadas they are quite a perfect accompaniment actually.
Appreciate you checking it out and ur time with a comment.

Beautiful! But it looks quite difficult. How much practice would I need to do it this long?

Just depends on your level of commitment and capability.....
I have been playing for about 10 years. ...
I have been thinking about doing some Didgeridoo tutorials though.....Not sure how many people would actually be interested but its worth a go!

Excellent work dear friend, the video is impressive those sounds that you achieve with that instrumeto is magnificent, I love the sounds of the background nature.
Thank you very much for sharing this material.
Have a great weekend

Ahhhhhh I love it. Grateful to share with you and thankful you find it valuable!
Will record another one soon!

Did you watch the video?

What a gorgeous meditation. The cicadas accompanying you was nice. How long did it take you to get the hang of this magical instument, you seem a real professional who has played for years ? Thank you so much - I am now following you and good luck in the open mic contest - you are a star ! Great smile too

Greetings~
Thanks for the nice comment. It is a beautiful and powerful instrument indeed.
