Flying My Spaceship & Orgone (Original Electronic Music)

in #originalmusic8 years ago (edited)

Hi friends,

I've decided that I'm going to post some more of my electronic music on steem, perhaps a track or two a week. As I mentioned previously I mostly produce Drum & Bass but over the years have turned out many styles and genres of music including Breakbeat, House, Dubstep, Reggae, Techno and some abstract and more experimental compositions which I'll post at some point along the way.

I have to say though, Drum & Bass is in my blood and very much my passion, though I am inspired by every kind of music you can imagine and a lot of my life experiences influence a lot of my music. I grew up in the rave era or the tail end of when it was truly a rave era (The time of horns, whistles, glowsticks, energy and unity) so much of my stuff is influenced by rave music, mostly my Drum & Bass.

Here are two more party vibe tracks I did 2-3 years ago that I quite enjoyed making, the first entitled "Flying My Spaceship" was my attempt at producing some house music reminiscent of the 90s era of house music while the second track below it, is entitled "Orgone" and is a Breakbeat/Breaks track with quite a bit of energy put into this one. I remember I felt very good in that moment with my own life journey and perhaps you will be able to hear this within the vibe of the track.

The photo I used at the top for the header of this post is the image I used for the "Flying my spaceship" track at the time, It is of a special place called Conwy on the north coast of Wales and the picture was taken by me atop Conwy castle. Love that place!

All tracks written, produced, mixed and mastered by John Clark.

My home state is Oregon and my husband loves this kind of music, I love to dance! Let's dance!

I remember reading your home state is Oregon, that's cool.. it's a beautiful state. When I lived in America, I visited a few times, have you been to Powell's bookstore in Portland? that's my favorite place ever. And the nature out there is amazing, I camped at a hot springs place called crystal crane hot springs once and that was cool. I will do a post sometime with some photos as you'll know some places I'm sure. The image i used for my orgone track was just a stock image of portland though, I wanted to go to that mountain, i think it's hood but never got there. Thanks for listening too! :)

I grew up horse back riding and hiking the Douglas ridge trails which are part of the Mt Hood wilderness area, some of the base hills of the mountain and the Eagle Creek wilderness area (bordered my childhood home). The starkly wild areas are the salmon huckleberry wilderness. If you want to feel the trees talking to each other, it's on the South side of Mt Hood...we used to go skinny dipping up at Bagby Hot Springs off of the Clackamas river, spooky fun at night, ancient woods surround the hotsprings. I've not heard of crystal crane hot spring , but Oregon is huge, from the westerly coastal ranges, to the eastern arid deserts side of the Cascade range. Madris to the East of Mt Hood and has some awesome fishing, rock and fossil hunting too! don't forget Crater Lack, one if the biggest calderas in the world....Boom!!!! I'll post some photos too!

That's great, I imagine it would be great to grow up in that wilderness, I remember just how clear the skies were in the wilderness, you could see the galaxy, different world out there and very relaxing. Crystal crane hotsprings were sort of east in the middle of Oregon, near burns, we were on a huge road trip from Washington state to Nevada and back. You're right, it is a huge state, huge country too. Thanks for the info, interesting place for sure. I look forward to your photos :)

Thanks very much for listening! :)
