You Can’t Call It a Complicated Situation When Unarmed Protester Are Being Gunned Down

I know little about the history of the Israel Palestine conflict.  If you want a scholarly written article you’ve come to the wrong writer. I really have little interest in the history of a tribal drama that affects nations on the other side of the globe, because there is enough tribal drama within this country to keep the voyeuristic section of my brain chewing through conflicts for a lifetime.  In recent years, Standing Rock, Ferguson and Occupy are the major stories that represented the only conflict that has ever really existed in the modern world and from what I see going on in Palestine, the two sides have the same origins as every conflict we see happening in America.  It’s a conflict between the haves and the have-not, and though Hollywood fills us westerners up with dreams that the have-nots always overcome impossible odds to defeat the evil haves, in reality this is rarely how it goes down. And often the emotional manipulations that Hollywood and western media has perfected lead us to believe that our country represents the have-nots, which couldn’t be further the truth.  Yet I digress.   Today I’m talking about one of the simplest situations that is only made complicated through the western media manipulations.

When we see unarmed defenseless people that include woman, children and the disabled getting shot, and gassed by thugs in body armor, it takes a massively large and coordinated effort from the western media to keep us believing that there are two sides to this conflict. But strip away the passive newspaper headlines, like “Palastinian’s died,” or “death toll rises,” from “clashes.” Ignore the justifications from corporate politicians like Chuck Shumer saying, “Every nation should have the right to choose their capital,” and even from so-called progressives like Bernie Sanders who does condemn Israel’s actions but began his statement with “Hamas violence” as if there is some justification, even though the response was disproportionate, or the ongoing Democratic strategy to keep us focused on Trump as if this is his fault, what you see are people willing to die to their cause with dignity, and people willing to kill for a paycheck.

Yes, I’m sure there is corruption among the Palestine leaders.  I am sure the most of the Palestinians have acted less than angelic towards their Israeli neighbors many times.  This is human nature among people that are desperate. But to not condemn Israel’s colonization, people have to see Palestinians as something less than human.  And for those who continue to hide behind the veil of calling this a complicated situation, you have chosen the side of dehumanization.  That is the side of Nazism.  To be fair, the Palestinians who have chosen to be suicide bombers and kill at random are also choosing that side.  But these suicide bombings have become less and less frequent over the past 10 years. On the other side be see a coordinated dehumanization effort take hold of nearly half of the Israeli nation according to The Independent.  And their willness to kill at random is growing bolder. There were children killed yesterday by Israeli snipers, I mean COME ON.  Why do I feel the need to write this article as if people need further convincing that Israel is in the wrong?  Anytime we see defenseless children killed by thugs in body armor, if you see these children as children the situation is not complicated.  The killing needs to stop.  END OF STORY.

Unfortunately this is not the end of the story.  People will latch on to manipulative talking points from the media to continue initiating debate, as if this is a two-sided conflict. The US and Israeli governments will use this grey area to continue colonizing the Middle-East.  And if nothing changes in the world’s power structure, we will eventually see Palestine wiped off the map, while hoards of wealth go into the hands of weapons contractors, corrupt politicians and corrupt lobbyists.

But there is one way that I see the Palestinians are winning.  What I see in the Palestinians who continue to show up to protest the Israeli occupation knowing they very well might be marching to their death is an acceptance and a freedom that the Israeli soldiers and supporters will never know.  What I see are the markings of an undefeatable human spirit, as picture in the wheelchaired Palestinian with both his legs missing, as he fight on and dies with dignity.  What I see is a nation full of Buddahs who have conquered their attachments to this life, in their fight for freedom.  If the Palestinians are wiped off the map, it will be because they have evolved beyond this earth existence.   And before that, they are living with the ultimate freedom in being unafraid of their death. Meanwhile their Israeli counterparts dig themselves deeper into the hell of worldly drama, which will require an ever-increase threshold of escapism just to continue living.  And just like the 62 matyrs who died yesterday in Palastine as free people, the Israel soldiers will also die someday, but not as heroes or mayrtyrs, they will die as prisoners of their own minds, still afraid to die, having never understood what this world is about.
