The land of Israel was given to the Jews by the God of the Bible. They were removed from their land by the Romans in 70 AD. Now it's theirs again. Never again to be trodden down by the gentiles.

(Luke 21:24 NIV) They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
