Howdy sir Glen! I really like the story line of the new Picard series and I hope it does well. That 3d printer is amazing! That IS getting close to a replicator which is everyone's dream machine. lol..I'm sure there are many labs working on it.

I still need to watch this week's episode. I ended up working some overtime again and so haven't had much of a chance to do anything if I wanted to make daily posts for STEEM.

I like the rather inventive way to do all of that, but it's not really the replicator in my mind. As you say, though, there are probably plenty of folks working on it.
Those quantum computers will probably be able to figure out how to build a replicator!
You mean you had to work weekends?
There have been some weeks where I have worked either a Saturday or a Sunday. The latter has happened twice, the former a few more times. So, I wouldn't exactly call it the weekend, since it's never been the two in tandem. And, if I do, I think the longest was less than two hours, so again, not horrible. Just hard to get anything going otherwise when you're not entirely sure if you'll be called in to do something. So far, it's been mainly after 1 pm, so there's a chance the morning can be used for whatever I'm doing.
However, it's not every week, and happens mostly when my direct boss is out of the area, which seems to happen fairly frequently. :)
Well if they count on you for those special jobs you have to be getting more valuable to them!
