I was in Sainsbury's today. The bogroll aisle (that my son used to call the 'safe aisle' as falling items would not hurt) was looking very bare, but it was being re-stocked. I just bought one pack of 9. That will last us a few weeks. I did not need handwash (we use soap), but the shelves were empty. I don't see the supply chain breaking down even if we do get thousands of cases of coronavirus.
My other half was at the local Chinese supermarket and saw a lot of people wearing masks, but I have seen hardly any.
Meanwhile my parents have decided to self-isolate after travelling to Italy even though they were not in the north. They do not need to go anywhere anyway, but they are in the high risk group and so are many of their friends.
