If you don't know anything about the Redbull X-Alps this show may not impress. The X-Alps Comp might be one of the toughest endurance races in the world.
It tests every part of you. Running, hiking, flying all while pushing your body to the limit over a period of 7 days.
In my opinion, Paul is one of the most humble pilots in the comp each year.
He has such a great attitude. I was fortunate enough to meet him because he is here in San Diego getting his commercial pilots license. I remember hearing him mention that he was going to be coming to So Cal to do some training in a video.
The day that showed up here, he was looking for a place to fly locally and so he went to the Torrey Pines glider port. When he got there, everyone recognized his Red bull wing in the air, and he stuck out like a sore thumb.
I believe that Paul was doing some ultra running of sorts before he became involved in the paragliding thing.
Paul has such a great attitude. If you have a chance to follow someone on Youtube he is one of the people you want to sub to.
Paul is working on getting his commercial pilots license so he can fly across america. He has a great plan set up for the future.
He made a few videos where he was flying a bush plane around Alaska. See his channel for that.
I said all that to say this, you don't want to miss this show. It will be a great time!
If you want to see the day that I got to fly with Paul, I wrote a post about it. You can see it here.
