When My oldest son was taking pictures at a fly-in last year, Allen told him that he would take him on a tandem one day.

This afternoon, I received a call from Allen. He said "I am going to be at Torrey today and I am going to bring the tandem gear."

I told him that I would be there.

We grabbed a snack and headed to the beach!

I wasn't going to tell the boys what I was planning for them. But turns out one of them wanted to stay home and play on the computer...

After I told them what I was planning for them they were excited.

When we arrived, I noticed that there were no pilots in the air.

We quickly found out that the wind prediction was off.

Other tandem pilots were landing on the beach.

Thats February weather for you.

We made the decision to hike.

To our amazement the weather quickly changed in our favor!

Before you know it every pilot in Southern California was there to fly.

I thought we were going to the beach. But instead it was an epic flight with just the two of us in the air for the first 10 minutes.

The day was amazing

For the first time my son got to see the mansions.

Right here I was thinking it would be cool to fly from this spot. What if that was my house. LOL

Some of these houses are amazing.

Not sure if this weather was going to last, I came in for landing. Also wanted to check my phone because it rang in my pocket like 5 times.

Tabin had a blast. It started off with fear, and ended with jubilee.

Now it would be the younger ones turn.

In the video you hear me say, "I wish I could hear what he was saying right here." right then we heard him scream "Oh my goossshhh!"

I was so grateful to Allen for setting all this up and making my boys dreams come true.
