Fatherhood: See Who Turned Twelve Today

in #parenting3 years ago

Being a responsible parent comes with great sacrifice. The sacrifice becomes more when you're a first time parent, do not have younger ones whom you witnessed their upbringing and having an amazing spouse who passed through the doors of hell and came back alive during the child's delivery.

There are a whole lot that comes with parenthood, which I learn each day at a time. Anyway, my boy turned twelve weeks old today, and I must say that no matter how much sacrifice I seem to make for him and the mom, it can compare with the joy o experience having them.

Such sacrifice includes turning to a dancer, in order to rock him to sleep or stop crying, while accompanying the dance with singing of songs I know and the ones my head conjures, a skill I didn't know I had to this extent until now 😂😂😂.

Although I lost some of his images on my phone when I was robbed two months ago, I still have some which always leaves me with a smile.

Today would have been a wishful thinking without my Superwoman, who's been through a lot during delivery and still battling the complications.

You can't wear a 'Cool Like Mama' outfit and expect Daddy to carry you 😛

Witnessing his first rain, and overdressed for the rain occasion to avoid cold. Less than 7weeks old here. Dressed like an astronaut.

The first time I realized that leaving him on his own on the chair will be such a bad idea, as I saw him move his body frantically in excitement. The result is better imagined than experienced. Still less than 8weeks old.

Having a gist with him, while he acts uninterested to my boring talk. 😔.

It hasn't been rosy but hearing his attempts at communicating with us each day he wakes up, which sounds like a puppy sound (I wish I can share his sound here, don't know how 😐) leaves me with so much Joy without bounds.

How has fatherhood/parenthood changed your life? Please share your experiences.
