Life an times of a Journeymans wife pt 2

Hello week 3… last week was quiet and uneventful! Although I did come to the realization people are legit crazy here, and I just thought TN was insane! Everyone here wears Alabama crap everyday..thats been hard to adapt to considering we are die hard Georgia fans and I personally HATE Bama lol

Ive adapted to not having a kitchen at this point and I am really loving my Instant Pot even more than I ever thought! I have made some pretty good dinners since being here! The spaghetti with extra meat and meatballs was a huge hit! I have also made a pork tenderloin, bbq chicken sandwhiches, lil smokies and a chicken dinner in it this past week! Its also nice having my lil griddle thats flat on one side and a grill on the other for things that are nearly impossible to cookin in my ip!

The one thing that does really suck is doing dishes and cleaning up. Luckily both of the girls have been really eager to help out! They have gotten really good at drying dishes, helping clean up their messes, making their beds and keeping the room as neat and tidy as we can! Im so thankful for that! Heres to hoping they always stay that way!!

The weather has seriously been bi polar as hell here.. Theres been tordnadoes not far from us, hot days, lots of rainy days all the way to cold as shit! It was in the 50s one day and it felt like 30s! The storms are pretty crazy here too! Back home we live on the side of a mountain so I dont have to worry about the crap like we do here! Its so flat and yes, Im starting to miss my mountains a little!

Ive started “painting” actually its called diamond painting. It is basically like paint by numbers except you use “drills” which are tiny “diamond”-like facets to create colorful designs and patterns for finished designs. It is very peaceful, relaxing and rewarding once it is finished! It took me about a week and half to do my first one which ended up being 6,400 drills (diamonds)! I have since started my second one which is for my girls, it is a Unicorn! I cant wait to order more! Since it is fairly new, not many stores carry them. I did find a few at Hobby Lobby, thats where I got the unicorn but honestly you can find them a lot cheaper through wish or online companies that just sale diamond paintings. I warn you though, it is very addictive!

this is my finished piece

heres the unicorn I have started

This was the first actual holiday in my entire life that I have been away from “family” but all in all it was pretty good! We spent the day as a family and wandered around Jasper for a bit, went and did our laundry and then had a nice lil dinner together! Of course the easter bunny found the girls Sunday morning… at 4am!! I must say though the girls had a great day! We spend Sunday layin around watchin TV playin with the girls kinetic sand and I fixed breakfast for dinner!

Saturday night we tried this little Japanese place for dinner,Sakura Japanese
It was so good and reasonably priced for what we got! It was around $50 for the four of us but we had steak, chicken and shrimp dinners! They all come with a salad, soup and zucchini, onions and mushroom of course our meat was on rice! I also got a California sushi roll that was outta this world! We will def be going back! I was amazed that my four year old ate so good with chopsticks

Well that was our week lol heres a few random pics Until next week….
