DIY at home... Ceiling decorations.

in #partiko5 years ago (edited)

I saw this design idea quite a long time ago (maybe before 4-5 months) and I knew, that I wanted this detailing in my new place. I don’t really remember where did I find this photo, but the lucky me... I saved it on my phone!

I found it kinda cool to have this type of a home bar and a way to divide the cooking area from the dining one. And yes... this type of lighting seemed a pretty modern and trendy.

So my decision was to use laminate flooring as covering material, and the foundation under it is made of drywall on a metal profile construction. The joining material, used to attach the laminate flooring to the drywall construction was polyurethane glue, but as it was not enough to keep the laminate pieces up, I used some screws to attach it, until the polyurethane was completely dry.

Attaching these pendulum lamps was maybe the easiest step. I chose these diamond shape ones and retro style LED bulbs. So this is the final result. Do you like it?

Meanwhile I have my kitchen being installed and everything starts to receive it’s final outlook. I’m so excited right now! So... waiting for your comments whether or not you like my work.

See ya soon!
