It's time for another giveaway of a 200 SP delegation for a month, plus @steembasicincome shares for the runners up.

As always, entry is simply via a comment on this post, but I've decided to do something a little different this time. I'd like to hear from you what you've found here or learnt here which has helped to build your accounts. This can be anything, from interaction to contests. I'd love to see a conversation happening on this post which will help newcomers and small accounts to gain a bit of information and support to help them grow. Even if you're not a redfish (under 500 SP), please still add your information if you have it and you will go in the running for SBI shares. If you want to nominate someone who is a redfish, that is also welcome and if you haven't yet found anything which has helped you, let us know that too. All comments will count (unless it's completely irrelevant or spam ;D).

As always, I'd like to thank my sponsors @mattclarke and @simplymike who help me to keep offering this opportunity. Why do we all do it? Because we want to help newcomers get a foothold on Steem, but it can be hard to find those newcomers in this busy place.

I'd also like to thank and mention the crew from @contestkings who help to promote this and many other contest posts. They are my tip for helping to grow your account via contest entries. Pay them a visit and see what contests they have listed. Posts go up daily.

When it comes to posting, commenting and upvoting, it seemed like I was generating some reasonable activity, but the monetary value of that activity has remained quite low. So recently I have spent a lot of time researching and learning about delegating my SP and utilising bid-bots on my posts to try and increase my revenue. I love the community spirit that is the embodiment of steemit but at the same time I have to be able to afford to spend as much time here as I would like.
I have learned a lot through studying the data on sites like steemd.com steemworld.org steembottracker.com steemprofit.info plus the websites for each individual bot or promo service I have looked into and/or tried out.
I must admit I have learned a few lessons that hard way - one major lesson being that if you are going to use a bid-bot, make sure you check out its stats properly to ensure you don't spend your hard earned steem on a service that hasn't replenished it's voting power or that has low SP.
Oh, and the other big lesson I learned was that if you are going to delegate some of your SP make sure you save enough for yourself so that you don't end up handing out worthless votes - this is the predicament I find myself in currently.
So I hope others who read this can learn from a few of my mistakes if they are looking into generating multiple income streams on steemit. As well as this, I would gladly welcome any advice anyone has to offer that may help me along the way.
Thanks for reading :)

I've never given bid bots more than a cursory glance. Now I'm not sure I could be bothered with trying to figure them out. I do like having my SP to reward with upvotes, so I get that too. It can be a real balancing act.

I guess if I had been able to get the value of more than a few cents on each post naturally I wouldn't have felt the need to go searching other methods.....but it's all a learning experience and I keep going each day so things should improve over time I guess...

There's so much you can do to start growing your account. I myself have just discovered STEEM and have been for just over two weeks.

I still keep discovering and learning about new ways of getting involved. It will take time to get started, but there's an amazing community who is dedicated to helping newcomers. Best places to start in my opinion are:

  • @SteemBasicIncome
  • @abh12345 with the Curation and Engagement Leagues
  • @minnowbooster to make your idle voting power work
  • @blocktrades for either renting or buying some extra SP (it will massively accelerate the rate you can grow and with the current low price, you do not need to invest a lot)

As I mentioned I keep coming across new ways of engaging with the community and new ways helpful people have made starting on the platform just a little easier.

Thank you for starting us of with some great suggestions.
It looks like you've gotten off to a flying start on here. Here's hoping you keep going from strength to strength.

Things you can do to "Forge" your account and make it grow... There are many things you can do:

  • Discord is a fantastic tool where you can meet new people, promote your posts, more easily find communities that focus on the topics you like to write about and where they organize activities that are quite interesting and useful from an intellectual point of view and that will make you learn many things about the platform... Contests, podcasts, shows, among others. My recommendation to new users is not to underestimate Discord.

  • If you want to give your account to know, using correct tags is a good option, although sometimes it seems that not, you can always get some new follower through the use of tags, there are always people who check tags of interest and curators who want to meet new creators to support. While this is less "Efficient" than the above, it is very good to keep in mind and put into practice.

  • Presentation, formatting and writing of your post, this is important when "Charming" new readers and therefore get followers and votes that would translate into growth of your account. Learning to create images, manipulate the formatting and improve the writing is certainly worthwhile.

  • Partiko, Steempress, MinnowSupport, SteemBasicIncome, are some of the many applications or "services" that can help you grow on the platform and expand your audience.

  • Participate as much as possible in contests... Like this one (Haha).

But the most important thing is, without a doubt, to embrace the community, to be part of the community, to participate is indispensable and healthy for it. If you contribute to the community, the community will thank you and give back.

Be constant, don't discourage and enjoy the platform, it is excellent to develop the habit of writing, especially when you know that there are people who read you. Big things start small.

And well... This could be a good summary of the most relevant things to get a boost in your account for almost any aspect. To conclude, I must say that I like the initiative, I think it is fair and necessary to advise new users and make them part of the community.

Greetings and Peace!

Some great ideas here, thank you. Persistence is certainly key with building your account, as is making connections with others.

@minismallholding, In my opinion Contest related to comments is always effective because it inspire to be responsible with the comments and it develops a habit to express effectively instead of rushing and expressing like half way.

Most importantly Commenting Contest will boost the Curation Economy because we need more consumers so that it can give boost to content creators who are putting efforts to bring valuable content.

Keep up the good work and stay blessed.

I learn about steem from steemmonsters and because i like card games i had to create a steem account.
When i enter for the first time in steem community i was lost.
i did not know anything about steem or how it works.
SBD/Steem, delegation, power up etc all this was new to me and i have some hard time to learn what are they.
now i am in steem community more than 1 month and i believe that i know how it works.
i like steem/steemit and all the blockchain technology that steem has and can support.
i have faith and when the time comes steem will be great.

You've done a lot and come a long way in just a month. I'm glad you're getting the hang of it so quickly.

It is the first time that I enter this contest. I maintain the motivation with this platform. I think it's the best place for writers. The best we can do to have a good time is to interact with other users, learn a lot from them and establish exchanges that help our growth.
Being part of communities that make life in Discord is also important, because from there we derive strategies and initiatives of contests for when we do not think about what to write.
My main suggestion is that you never copy. Plagiarism is something detestable. Producing original content will gradually develop cognitive processes that improve personal writing.
Greetings.
I used the google translator.

Thank you for stopping by and joining in. Some great input here.
