This week we've been having freezing fog at night. The water slowly condenses, allowing for strong directional growth of ice crystals, resulting in these spectacular structures.

It's pretty nice here in WA. About 2-3 times per year we have beautiful snow and then it melts. Where I was living before, we'd have snow on the ground from November to April/May. That was less than enjoyable.
