good for you! I am glad you are Native American and feel that way about California. I am not and I do not. There is actually no where where I feel at home truly except in Nature anywhere. Right now I live in a city, so I feel very off - wish I could live in the woods, but I have to find that "home" within myself - with the Creator because I have not been able to afford the woods.
I am glad you like it. Although I was born there, it never was my home. I have been gone for many years, save a brief visit in 2013. I came to CO from NY where I lived for 20 years, long before the pot mania. I am not a cannabis user so I came here for other reasons.

it's pretty bad. I grew up there and it was wonderful but then after the silicon valley insanity it has become HELL.
I am Native American from “California” and no amount of US Government, Silicone Valley nonsense can take the beauty of California away.
Sure, it could be less colonized and destroyed, but I’m not giving up on my land!
