Steemit got hacked - Here are the 3 steps you should do now to protect yourself - i.e how to recover Steemit forgotten passwords

 In the light of current events that Steemit rocketed in popularity and valuation by 1000%.  We can presume that there is a flood of newbies joining in, yet for one major obvious reason … money. However, we usually all make these same mistakes. We look for ways to make money but not how to protect yourself from losing them.

What's more:  Steemit do not recover your password. You are responsible for protecting your personal log-in password. And yes yes yesss ! If you forget your password, without backup, there’s goodbye to your money. When Morgan Freeman says yes, you know it's god damn serious.

                            

So here are 3 simple, basic, must-do step to cover our ass when shit hits the fan 

1. Back up your password, use chrome for now. And if you forget it. Here is how you can recover it in 1 minute. Yes ! if you are lucky/lazy enough to ask chrome to save your password when you first log in, you are saved. 

2. Save your private keys for whatever you may need it later. Here is an article  

3. Manage PW properly, using apps, tools or even note it down then remove passwords saved from chrome. Getting into the habbit of being organized  never harm. My friend lost access to his Steemit account, estimated value $5k without passwords backup. The look on his face can assure you that an extra minute of care will never harm.

Nothing’s here is new. I just summary most of the questions/problems people have been asking and struggling with. But the point to give is: At least with Steemit, please take your passwords seriously.
