REASONS WHY MUSICIANS, ARTISTS WORSHIP LEADERS NEED A CHURCH AND A PASTOR

images (8).jpegOne of the most dangerous jobs to do is that of a Musician. I can't go into my reasons for saying this fully but I know. I have been one fully for awhile to know how exposed and vulnerable this work leaves you. Being a Star, being a Celeb can be so demanding and it has destroyed many. Many people were OK till they started doing well in music, that's when their 'downfall' began.. A sweet friend of mine was asking why I don't put personal stuff on social media. I said, being a hardworking Musician means I'll be very great and famous. That only is exposing so I won't go an extra mile to expose myself. This is a personal decision though not a rule for all.

As someone doing music, singing from stage to stage, weekend to weekend recording albums, doing music business etc you can get easily caught up in all the paparazzi, the fame, money and all that so much that you won't have time for God anymore. Many artists can't remember the last time they attended Bible Study. They are now so busy. Anything that makes you too busy to pray or spend time with God on your own and to go to church means you're way tooooo busy.. God is a jealous God. Nothing must take His place.

This Music thing is very cunny o..Your head can easily get bigger than your crown. That's why you need a good church where you can be fed and taught God's word. Music can drain you. You need a place to refire constantly. You can't be exhaling without inhaling. You need a church that will help you stay fresh.. It would even help your songs to be fresh as well. You need people to connect with. You can't be a star on your own. You need people around you to just be normal with. When I'm with my choir members and church folks, I am normal. I don't try to be a Celeb. We laugh we joke we take selfies... People are more important than platforms.

You don't need a church for platforms or connection. They can give you that but that's small. You need a place of hiding in difficult times that will surely come. You need to have a PASTOR that can correct you, speak over you and pray for you. You also have to be careful so you won't be a law to yourself. Many artists are already feeling big because they've performed on the same stage as many big famous preachers, they think they now have all the revelation and are qualified to even correct pastors. They start bringing out errors in the church as the reason why they don't have a church. I can't argue with you. I'm only praying you see better and understand better.

The bible says God will give us Shepherds after his own heart. God didn't create us to be in isolation.. Please don't listen to those who say Jesus didn't come to establish churches but the Kingdom and use that as a reason to stay at home on Sunday morning watching TBN rather than go to church. Their revelation is half baked. They probably didn't read that in the days of Paul churches met in different houses.
Anyway my counsel to everyone doing Music, don't be floating around every weekend, singing in places and then get out to go to another without you having a church where you serve and are being served. There are blessings in service and there are things you can only get by being part of a church family and having a PASTOR.
