Have you ever made jams? Tell us about your experience.

I like all kinds of fruits, but pineapple has a special place in my heart.

I have made pineapple jam at home many times. Since our country is a tropical fruit-growing country, pineapple is very easily available here. Pineapples are available in all seasons. Sometimes these fruits are available at very cheap prices. It is impossible to eat too much of it, right? So I cut it up and make jam, mix it with chapatis and parotta, and serve it to the children.

Pineapple can be eaten as jam, juice, or dried fruit. Pineapple jam is very delicious. If you eat this jam for 40 days continuously, your health will improve. Your body will shine brightly. This fruit has the power to prevent vision problems. It has high immunity power.

INGREDIENTS

💚 Rice 💚 Cardamon 💚Oil 💚 Sesame Seeds 💚 Jaggery 💚

Step1 :

Taka a ripened papaya fruit, peel it off and cut it into 2 pieces, and remove the seeds properly and then small cubes.

Step2 :

Take the mixer grinder jar and pour the cubes into the jar and grind them to make paste.

Step 3 :

Take a broad pan and add the ground paste to heat, Sauté the paste with low flame while adding jaggry in it and mix them well until the jaggery melts and mixes with it

Step 4 :

Mix well the paste until turn red and also its consitany goes hard like gel.

Now the lucious papaya jam is ready; put off the flame and take the jam in a bowl.

Did you have any difficulty making your jam?

No, I have made this jam many times before, so I don't think it would be difficult. However, the papaya wasn't as ripe as I thought it would be. If it had been riper, it would have tasted even better and the color would have been a nice, red color.

However, the jam I made was so good that my son and husband had lunch with the waiter, who both said it was delicious.

Do you have any special tips for making jam? Share them.

It is very important to choose the fruit when making this jam. It is better if the outside of the fruit is yellow and orange. At the same time, it is better if the fruit is not soft like dough, when you touch it and is slightly hard. After making the jam, it should be covered in a container and can be used for up to a week.

If you had to choose a food to accompany your jam, what would it be? Present your choice showing how you would enjoy both ingredients together.

Generally, jam can be added to all meals. In our traditional dishes, it is customary to serve sweets first, and adding this jam to such sweets adds flavor. Also, adding this papaya jam to dishes like chapati, parota, and bread adds flavor. Similarly, jam can be added to dishes like dosa and appam. Children may refuse to eat any food if it is spicy, so if you serve it with a little jam, they will like it.

Last night I made dosa, spread the jam I made on it, rolled it up and gave it to my son. He ate it and said it was delicious.

Making jam using papaya fruit will make the dough more tender with a delicious taste. The use of palm sugar in jam can also provide a natural sweetness. I think it's the right combination.
