RE: Patriotism, an Abomination

I find such ignorance astonishing.

Perhaps the miracle of the American Revolution means nothing to you.

Perhaps you have a point, but we don't have a clue what "the miracle" could be or is.

While slavery was abolished in England, the colonies revolted over not being able to print their own money after the King demanded everything be paid in gold and silver. The power structures within the territory mobilized to mutiny, a year or so later in what can be considered a World War, which didn't do anything but land the rebels swiftly in the same clutches that they tried to escape from, with the money system still controlled not long after it's mutiny, by the same Bank Of London characters.

American Revolution was no miracle, the Revolution was fought on loans from one King, vs the King across the way from him, he more or less sought to make the enemy of his enemy his friend, while those people and society was swiftly cannibalizing itself and the conclusion wasn't anything impressive, and the people didn't become more because of it.

Perhaps you despise the freedoms of speech, worship, property, and self defense. Perhaps these things are cheap to one such as yourself.

These things aren't new. People didn't get anything out of Independence that wasn't there before. Perhaps these things are nobody's to give or take.

But to anyone with even a cursory understanding of history, the fact that these things are found anywhere on Earth is nothing short of heart-stopping.

To an Individual, who resides in the USA, and has little to any understanding of history outside the USA, maybe to someone like that "THE FACT" that these things are found seems magical, miraculous and unlikely.

I am forever humbled by the sacrifices of men and women who gambled everything to create a truly free country.

Am I free to have sex with people for money?
Am I free to consume alcohol or other things?
Am I free to move about without being ID'd by cops?
Am I free to do a million and one things involving selling or offering services for work that harms nobody and doesn't undermine anyone's freedom?

Truly free.

I am aware of the sacrifices it took for Slave Owners to write down "all men are created equal, except women and slaves".

The people you describe as simply being unhappy about their taxes are people whose boots you are not worthy to lick.

Because somehow Slave Owners, rich businessmen, always seem to have such a great outlook and attitude on Liberty, and fairness, and justice.

When people celebrate the 4th of July, they honor not only our brilliant founders,

The slave owner hypocrites.

not only our men and women in uniform,

The unquestioning obedience.

but the communities where they live. Our farmers, our bus drivers, our school teachers, our neighbors and friends.

Who won't revolt against a money system, but the same people hardly had a choice during the Revolution, which ended up worse than before.

It's an opportunity to give thanks for all the people who make up our nation (for surely, a nation is nothing more or less than the people who live there).

A nation is an imaginary system that everyone believes is real, it owns property, it makes decisions and even has it's own birthday, and all the people that believe it's real think that the collective believers make up the creature itself.

And I understand that you're trying to be iconoclastic. You want to be the edgy, "cool" kid who doesn't salute the flag.

Cool story brah.

Let me tell you something: that flag will still be inspiring poets, philosophers, and humanitarians when you are nothing but a box of dirt in the ground.

Cool story brah, I was there too.

And I understand you will take issue with my posting here. To which I say, do whatever you want to me, but don't presume to think you're righteous enough to judge my country.

Why shouldn't he presume to think he is righteous enough to judge your special unicorn?
