Entry For The Pay It Forward Curation Contest Week 52
We are visiting my mother in low supposing that it will be vacation time for. I literally saw myself drinking a glass of wine, lying on the sofa and steeming while baby Ru is running around the house and my mother in law is ... running after him. Well, this is not exactly what is happening. Yeah, you guessed right. I am still running after him.
So I almost missed this remarkable week for the PIFC community. It is a one-year anniversary for this incredible bunch of friendly Steemians who try their best to make Steemit a people-friendly place.
So, I set on a chair, said to my mother in law who just came back from work that I have something extremely important to do... and started writing this post. I am really limited in time, so I guess this is going to be a free-write post. Cool, you say. Yeah, but a free-write post from a non-native English Speaker means a grammatically terrible post! So, excuse me if some words, phrases, and tenses are bothering your gentle eyes :) I am sure that you will get over it :D
Now, this week's PIFC is a different one. All participants are supposed to nominate two of their previously featured bloggers. I was enthusiastic and a bit nervous to see who of all my nominees is still kicking here on Steemit. Well, sadly, a few. BUT, I have a few who, on the other side, I more than present on Steemit. They grow, the post, and they blossom.
The first big "EXCELLENT WORK" is for @justjoy - a blogger who I continue reading. She always has something new, funny and witty to say. Her stories are short, smart, and joyful. She is an incredible storyteller. I am sure there is a short story for everyone on her blog. All these fine qualities of the content she creates got her a reputation of 58 extremely quickly, just for a few months.
Now, here is what touched my heart and mind this week.
Are We Born for Success?
Red haired means feisty
Rich and good looking assures the person of many friends
Italians are all good lovers
Is what you’re dished out with at birth, in your genes as it were, the major factor in who and what you become or is it the way in which you are brought up that determines whether you ‘get there.’ or not?
What's your answer?
The next lady is someone I discovered around Christmas. What I find so positive about her blog is that you can just feel how everything she writes there is simply for the fun and the enjoyment of writing. Meet @apinchofhome, who is a storyteller, a poet, a homestead manager, a blogger, and a homeschooling mom. Yeah, you are not the only one who wonders how she manages it all. But she does. And her posts are full of joy and would cheer you up in your gloomiest day.
Here is a quick look into her latest story.
Adventures in Homesteading: The Tale of Three Tails Chapter 10
“Guess what Mom told me, Clara.”
“What?” asked the little girl.
“Daddy’s bringing us a present today.”
“What is it?” asked Clara eagerly.
“Two kittens!”
The Three Tails turned to one another, terror on their faces.
“Maybe we can tell the cats the secret of the garden, Pudge?” Gomer asked hopefully.
If you would like to know what happened with the secret of the garden, just follow @apinchofhome.
So, I guess I wouldn't be still kicking if it wasn't for the communities like the Pay It Forward Contest. If you would like some hope, joy, and friendliness to enter your Steemit world, just join us.
Yours, @insight-out
P.S. If you wonder, baby Ru was back from his walk outside right in the middle of this post. So, it took me about 2 hours to finish my "free write" :D
P.P.S. I just read the post and my own gentle eyes simply fell on the floor! It's been a great struggle, but after breathing deeply, I decided to leave the post into this authentic-full-of-misspellings -and-odd-sentences way.
Thank you for your entry. Both of your bloggers have been upvoted and your entry for Curation Contest:Week 52 is confirmed.
Thank you! Haha, wasn't it like in the middle of the night in your part of the world? :D
It was about 12:30am when I got to that. In the middle of a very busy couple weeks, but I make a point each night to catch up the PIFC entries. There are times it's 2am and I'm doing stuff...lol
Haha, that's what I thought. I saw your comment, then I saw that it was made at 8 am Eastern European time and I thought: "Wait a minute! Chicago must be sleeping tight right now" :D
You have been featured in my latest entry into the "Pay It Forward" Community's weekly curation contest @insight-out.
They are celebrating their 🎂 one year anniversary 🎂 contest this week! Thank you for doing your part here to make it even better!
I hope will find some encouragement, in learning this, to continue the great job you are doing adding value to our Steem blockchain!
Thank you @roleerob. Actually, I saw your post featuring me and then decided to do my best to make an anniversary PIFC post of my own :)
I certainly find this encouragement in your kind support the past months!
Ohhh @insight-out ...
... okay! 😉
Nice work getting this done and featuring these great writers. I am sure they will be encouraged by your description of their efforts to add value to our Steem blockchain.
Thank you for your efforts! Happy rest of your evening with little Ru and family! 😊
Haha :D If they manage to understand what I was saying :D Lol
I read my post once again a few hours later when I had put baby Ru to bed... and I was terrified by the way it looked and sounded like :D But I decided to leave it that way (after a great internal struggle) in order to be more authentic and sincere :)
For what it is worth @insight-out ...
... I think you are being a little too hard on yourself. 😊
Your reaction though does remind me of how I tend to look at my own work at times. So ... Now that thought might be legitimately "terrifying" ... 😉
Haha, no wonder why I try to "steal" some of your precision :D
Congratulations @insight-out! You have completed the following achievement on the Steem blockchain and have been rewarded with new badge(s) :
You can view your badges on your Steem Board and compare to others on the Steem Ranking

To support your work, I also upvoted your post!
Thank you for your entry. I could only comment on the second blogger as she was already past payout and only posts once a week at the moment. Still I supported both of your bloggers.
Thank you! Yes, the second blogger's post was 6 days old when I featured it, but I still wanted to encourage her in that way.
I hope she decides to start posting more. She may still be in the standard blogger mindset, which doesn't quite work the same way here...
Thank you SO much for the nomination! I appreciate the encouragement and positive energy sent my way. I'll start posting more regularly...amazing how easy it is to let it slide. :) Thank you!
Tell me about it! I also struggle with posting more often :)
Great picks this week @insight-out I enjoyed them both and supported both of your bloggers :) Keep up the diamond digging
Thanks, @chekohler!
