All forms of terrorism have their basis in an Ideal. Some are freedom fighters and for others its for power or greed. Unfortunately religion gets caught up in the fight more times than it would like. It is but one cause among many. The USA could be deemed a terrorist state for the many wars it has conducted around the world and the people of thoes countries are just trying to defend them selves. In this case however religion has been used as an excuse. It would be interesting to find out what the causes were in this attack.

i would say that it is to cause civil unrest that these kind of terrorism is done

Yes the Philippines is a very volatile place I beleive. Many different factions trying to take control.
