RE: The Call to Peace

in #payitforward6 years ago (edited)

It is an unfortunate fact @ nurseanne84, the enemies of the cross are still persecuting us, we pray for the strength of those who lost their families, for those who are injured and pray for peace to be established in the Churches of the Philippines.

thank you very much @steemchurch @emiliocabrera that is the reality but saying they are "enemies" are very strong words to use on them even if they think we are theirs.

what the letter taught me is this:we forgive our enemies but move on.its not that we forget the pains and sufferings they wrought against us but simply concentrating on it would fill the near future with anger, bitterness and hatred and, we can't enjoy life then if this happens.

I believe in justice.let's live on in peace.

I understand Sister, but my approach is to quote that biblically speaking we are like sheep of slaughterhouses and, although we pray for mercy, we can not deny the title that the Bible gives to these behaviors of people:

Because there are many out there, of whom I told you many times, and even now I say it in tears, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ;
