Saying that it moves just as much is actually quite inaccurate. While SBDs don't remain pegged at 1USD at all times, this is still a value they tend to and go back to often enough as the way they are distributed is a market force pushing them in that direction.
Notice the huge difference between the charts. Notice not just the different behavior, but also the difference in the scale. Steem has moved through much larger ranges of values than SBD. It's crystal clear that SBD is much more stable despite the fact that it is not directly pinned to the USD.
