From Our Farm: Micro Lot Single Origin Coffee

There are very few things in this world that bring us more joy than a freshly brewed cup of coffee to help ease into the morning. Knowing that it comes from our own organic farm only makes it that much sweeter.
Ask any coffee connoisseur what makes a delicious cup of coffee and they will invariably speak of source.
At Atitlan Organics, we produce micro lot, single origin coffee from our farm located high on the hillsides above the mayan village of Tzunana. The high elevation of our farm combined with the volcanic soil in the Lake Atitlan region makes for an incredible coffee.
With a focus on sustainable farming practices, improving soil conditions and performing preventive measures to avoid disease pressure, we work diligently to produce the highest quality of coffee to unlock its full taste potential. We spent countless hours observing the land to determine which specific area of our farm would be best suited for growing coffee, not to mention experimentation with different varietals to find the right match for our distinctive soils and microclimate.

Our coffee is lovingly grown and carefully hand-harvested at the peak of the cherrie’s maturity in order to produce naturally sweet and complex coffee. We then transfer the coffee to _____ where it is depulped, fermented, and washed prior to patio drying. After processing, the coffee is then carefully roasted to ensure you can taste the unique flavor profiles of our single origin coffee.

Our beautifully balanced and complex coffee boasts rich, sweet notes of caramel, cacao nibs, spice & chocolate malt.
