That's hilarious @ocrdu. As I was looking at your post earlier and thinking how much I love water lillies I was think the exact same thing . . . if only they would grow closer to the edge so they were easier to photograph.

This may be a cultivated version of the other kind of native lillies in The Netherlands, the Nymphaea alba. Not sure though, could just be an import.
I also like these lillies, I only wish they would grow closer to shore (wet feet).
