A sad loss, and a new kitten - cat tree

in #pets3 months ago (edited)

Hi!

Earlier this month, we unfortunately lost our beloved orange cat, Moona. This was really, really sudden and unexpected. I stayed with her throughout her last moments, as I didn't want her to feel stressed or alone, thinking about it makes me feel very emotional.

Your pets are only a small part of your life but to them, you are their entire life, it's heart-warming to think about it like that!

A few weeks after this, we happened to get another cat- a little multicoloured kitten. The house felt too empty without a little cat around.

We'd always wanted to get a little friend for our orange cat, unfortunately she had already passed when we got our new cat. Maybe one day we'll get a friend for our current cat?

We've noticed our new cat tends to sniff areas where our orange cat used to love, it's quite bittersweet, I'm glad our Kitty gets to meet her in some way, even though it's just her smell, lol.

We got our little Kitty a cat tree- and she LOVES it! It's the first time I've ever got a cat tree before, our past cat really didn't care much for toys or new beds or anything like that, so we were really glad that our new cat loves her tree!

These were the instructions and the diagram of what it's supposed to look like, to be honest, I didn't do any of the building, my partner did. I just took pictures of the process/pictures of our cat lol.

All the elements of the cat tree in this one plastic bag- wow! Kitty is nosey!

The scratching posts and the little house area, she's looking inside 😲 checking out if she likes it...

She's helping with the screws, she's so clever!

It's so pretty, I was trying to figure out which colour cat tree I wanted, I wasn't sure if I wanted more of a natural colour palette or more of a sleepy/cute colour palette. So we ended up going with this purple, sleepy colour for our cat tree- I love it!

I love how it turned out! It seemed quite easy to assemble, and it came with everything you would need to build it, it only took my partner 5 minutes to build it. It's a really cute addition to our living space, too. I love the little flower on the top!

We got our cat tree from here! It cost us £29.99, which is roughly 180 STEEM.

If you have a cat too, I'd definitely recommend a cat tree, especially if it has extra bits to it (the ball toys) attached!

Thank you for reading!
