This is how it starts

I started Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR) in 2003 to try and save the dogs and puppies that ended up at the government kennels (dog pounds) and without any hope of getting out alive.

Since then around 8000 lives have been saved: puppies big and small, adult dogs old and young. Over 600 dogs are still living at our HKDR Homing Centres, most of them in a very large site in Hong Kong's New Territories.

These baby pups are the latest batch-in-waiting, and they will be rescued tomorrow. We don't really have the space and I had to think about it for, oh, a few minutes, before saying I would take them.

The little curly coated fellow was one of two brothers I took from the government kennels a couple of days ago, and they have at least found a foster home. AFCD NTN pups June 17.jpg
