Gen 38:28-30 (KJV), And it came to pass, when she travailed, that the one put out his hand: and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This came out first, And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez. And afterward came out his brother, that had the scarlet thread upon his hand: and his name was called Zarah.
THE BLESSING OF A “MID-WIFE”
One day, a young zealous minister of the gospel confided in me that he, like the Ephraim in the scriptures, felt like he had tarried long at the place where men ought to give birth (Hosea 13:12-13) yet he greatly desired to bring forth.
I asked him the simple question; “Do you have a ‘mid-wife’?”
It is this same question I direct to any child of God who is “pregnant” and seeks to bring forth what is in the inside of them.
Where is your ‘mid-wife’?
If it had not been for the mid-wife in our theme scripture, the world would have assumed that Pharez was Tamar and Judah’s first born son.
In the life of the Christian, this translates as the order by which certain things must come out of you.
Yes, you desire to bring forth but even in bringing forth, there are those things which come first and must be acknowledged as such, lest you breach both your spirit and the spirits of those you ought to bless.
‘Midwives’ are the people God has placed in your life to show you the pattern of how to bring forth.
He has also given them the divine ability to help you “deliver” safely lest you have still births (aborted visions) or deformed children (corrupted and twisted visions).
You must have a ‘mid-wife’. It is possible that what you need to get to your next level has been placed by God in the hands of another man.
Be humble enough to learn and receive from such.
FURTHER STUDY: 1 Timothy 4:14, Hebrews 13:7
GOLDEN NUGGET: ‘Midwives’ are the people God has placed in your life to show you the pattern of how to bring forth. He has also given them the divine ability to help you “deliver” safely lest you have still births (aborted visions) or deformed children (corrupted and twisted visions).
PRAYER: Father, I thank you for this instruction on how to receive from ministers. I humble myself under the hand of those you have anointed for my sake. I do all that must be done to walk in the pattern they have set for me. In this, I bring forth the greatness that is in the inside of me. I can never delay at the place where people ought to give birth because wisdom has taught me the necessity of the 'mid wife'. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
