The Negritos, also known as the Aeta people, are indigenous to the Philippines, and are not descended from Africans. They are one of the oldest indigenous groups in the Philippines, and are believed to have migrated from Southeast Asia around 30,000 years ago. Their name comes from the Spanish word "n**ro" or "black," referring to their dark skin color. But their origins are distinct from those of Africans, despite some similarities in appearance.
