Bud-Bud a good food to start the Sunday morning : Sweet Delicacy for Filipino Native

in #philippines7 years ago (edited)

Every after mass specially on Sunday morning, it's every filipinos tradition to bring "bud-bud" a kind of delicacy that is made from rice that is commonly known by filipino locals as "pilit", and wrapped using the leaves of banana. Today right after the mass we bought a "bud-bud" for the whole family, sold for five pesos each, and some tip it would be better to eat bud-bud if it is still warm.

Got a quick snap of Bud-bud.

There are many recipe you can make from pilit rice, one of them is the biko or commonly known as rice cake, which is flavored with coconut milk and brown sugar, both delicacy are perfect if paired with ripe mangoes and hot chocolate or "sikwati" as most locals call it.
